Whats prettier than a Blue Scooter in the Blue Ridge?
« on: March 11, 2014, 05:21:39 PM »

Well, that would be 2 Blue Scooters of course!!!
Got an invite to ride to Maggie Valley this AM from Chip(SBB), the only thing he didn't tell me was that it was going to be 38 when I left my house at 0715.......but I won't cry to loud cause he had to leave at 0630.
Pretty chilly when we met up on I40 W of Hickory, NC. Warmed up nice as the day went on. Oh yea.......the Scooters?
Here they are on what one day will be Chips front porch

Another blue bike picture with shading.
Actually it's time for a new camera.  :nervous:

Our property in Maggie Valley has 15 Apple trees on it.
As I have found out Apple trees are NOT maintenance free.
They have to be trimmed/pruned. Anyone can prune a tree but for it to bear fruit it has to be pruned properly.
I found some guys that work in a local orchard to come trim the trees.
They finished yesterday so with the temps close to 80* I needed to inspect their work.
Thanks Jimmy for meeting me out on 40 and riding to the Valley with me.
After we left the property we rode up to the BRP to take a few blue bike pictures.
Not to be, the Parkway was closed to the north and  to the south.
I forget that at Parkway altitudes there is still snow.

We rode to Winston Salem on Sunday because I figured the Parkway might still be a little icee, had no idea it was closed. Trees down and snow on the ground everywhere around Winston and it's 77 here today. High of 41 Thursday. Weather sure has been crazy in the Carolinas. Here's to SBB and 2K having a good day  :drink: Oh yea, beaaaaaaautiful bikes even if they are BLUE  :D

Great pix!

OK, I'm sold! Was thinking I will always own black bikes. But then again growing up I was an oilers fan (RIP - Anyone else remember 'luv ya blue'?). So sign me up for a blue RG come 2015.

It's always great getting in the mountains and getting a good ride in. I know we sure enjoy it here with lots of mountains. Right now still too much sand on the mountain roads.

Where is the snow?  Now that is a spectacular location to live in that is also riders dream.  Very nice choice.  We are supposed to get between 3" to 12" this afternoon depending on the temp, but I think we have had enough.  The Blue bikes look at home, maybe I should get a white bike.
