For Fifth Wheel Hauling Guys, Little Off Subject
« on: July 03, 2019, 07:33:27 AM »

Good morning.

Quick question on electrical plugs for fifth wheels.

Are the standard 7-pin connectors what fifth wheelers use?

My RAM has one on the bumper and none in the box bed wall.  If this is what they use, I'll wire in one and mount it in the box side wall just behind the driver's side wheel well.

Thanks and have a great 5th of July.  Ride and drive sober and be very safe!

7 pin is pretty much the norm anymore and they make adaptors from it to just about anything you could want to plug into

They are standard and if you prefer the plug in the bed the kit will tee into the existing wire harness, so both will be usable.
