Title: VHT nite-shades w/pics
Post by: DOWNTOWN DON on January 06, 2013, 04:42:20 PM
For those of you with the canadian model cvo's you know how ugly the amber rear signal lights look.
Well this weekend i took my signals, tail light, & the reflector below the tail light off. Threw the reflector away, wet sanded the signals & tail light with 2000 grit, then gave them three light coats of vht. after they set up i gave them three coats of clear. The next day i wet sanded & pollished them to remove any orange peel.
The end result was amazing & when the lights are on they are still plenty bright.

I did the same to my rear signals but also put on a smoked lay down brake light from Radiantz and a wrap around plate holder from Yaffee. Really finishes off the back end.

Very nice, you saved large $$$$ and it looks good. When I did mine  I did not even think about that and just bought the U.S. smoked lights. This is what mine looks like.
