FYI - I had my 2010 Spiced Rum FLHXSE in the shop three times for a rattle that occurred around 3,000 RPMs in the rear end near LEDs.  Even the HD rep came by to look at the bike.  It was decided that the folded metal around the light assembly was the problem and they cut HD rep cut the metal...wrong.  The dealer is still stumped to what was actually causing the rattle, but the last time the bike was back in the shop, the technician put a small clear bead of silicone on every piece that touched each other and that appears to have stopped the rattle, but not necessarily fixed the problem.  I was told someone else was in the shop complaining about the same issue.

Check your brake pads. The anti rattle clip falls out sometimes.
