I made my own, too... out of some leftover 3/4" plywood, 4 90 degree angle fasteners, SS bolts/washers/nuts, a 1/2" axle I cut in half, and a $2 quart of flat black enamel from Home Depot's "Oops" bin... Total cost about $25.

I have it mounted so the bottom of the TP is about 6 feet above the floor... keeps it up and out of harm's way!

Here is what I made. I purchased everything from Lowes for about $35.00. I could have spent less if I only used one angle bracket and cut it in half but I wanted somewhere to keep my back rest and the extra tour pac mount when I'm not using it. I have the solo and two-up tour pac mounts.
I'll also have to figure out how to hang my BSR seat since I usually keep my bike in the solo rider seat configuration.

Sounds like a good deal & look every functional--what do you have hanging on the bottom right?

Looks like a solo tour pak mount which moves the tour pak up over the passenger seating area right behind the rider.

Yes that is a solo tour pac mount hanging in the lower right.
