Recieved the Cee Baily 14" windshield today dark tint, Looks a lot like the Klock Works shield. I am willing to bet they're made by the same company. Looks good, can only hope it will work well. Will let all know when I take it for a ride. Need to get some gaskets to complete the install. Doc.

The CVO SERG 09 stock gasket will not make it, looks like chit. The stock RG gasket will work. I think I will run it without the gasket for now, looks good without it. Doc

I should be able to ride today. Just finishing the Full Sac 2 1/4" baffles and some lighting. I am 6,1" tall I can see over it fine with room to spare, I beleive its a little lower than the Klock Works new 12" Shield. Doc

so, if they are the same height and you believe that the KW and the CB are made by the same company, what about the CB do you beleive will be beter. Shape, angle etc. I am in the same quandry. I hated the way the Cee Baily shield fit the bike, made a phone call today and it is not made for the 09SERG, They are taking mine back. They will have a sheild shortly that fits our 09 SERG useing the stock SERG gasket. I should be one of the first to recieve one, will let all know when I get the new one and give it a whirl. Doc

I had no idea they were differant also, but Cee Baily Tech Joe let me know they are completey differant thats why I had such a losey chitty fit with the stock type shield. They he Joe states that they will be the first to make a complete line of Shields for the 09 SERG useing the stock 09 SERG gasket. Doc

Now let's make things clear. You are saying that the upper fairing in the 2009 SERG is not the same a the standard issue RG. The The 09 SERG wind shield mounting surface has a special shape ? Respectfully I find that hard to believe. It would cost far to much for HD to special one off for a low production model... not cost effective. Some one is blowing smoke up some ones exhaust pipe for sure! The HD parts book makes no mention of a special fit for their shields, excluding the SERG. Hope you don't mind some constructive thinking.

All I know and what I have passed on is what I have heard and seen with the Cee Baily windsheild. I have no part # to compare, but I can tell you this, the Cee Baily shield does fit the stock RG and does not fit the 09 SERG even without trying to use the stock 09 SERG rubber gasket, I have a friend with a 09 RG that used the Baily shield and it fit fine, on mine, it did not fit right, Cee Baily is aware of this and is making windsheids for or 09 SERG. If someone has a parts book and numbers to compare I would be very interested to know myself if in fact the 09 SERG has a differant part# for the outer fairing than the stock 09 RG. I find it hard to beleive myself they would be differant but we may just have a prototype for the future line of RGs, as the 09SERG gasket is far better than anything HD has produced so far. Doc

Was at the dealers to look at fairing part#,. The 09 RG has a 04 part# and the 09 SERG has a 09 part# which means really nothing as you can only order the SERG fairing with a color. 09 RG can come primed. Will have to see pics of both the 09 RG and the 09 SERG to see if they are differant. I have owned a 07 RG and can not remember if there was any differance to this 09 SERG fairing. Doc

Just recieved a call from Jor at Cee Baily, it will be about two weeks before the new 09SERG shields will be ready, they have to make a mold for the 09SERG shields. Also so everyone knows the outer fairing is differant on the 09 SERG than the 04 to 09 RG fairings. If anyone doubts it drive by thier plant in southern LA. and have a look. And Also the price for the new 09 SERG shields will be much higher than the 09 RG sheilds. Doc

You will need to call and cancel the order, as the ones Cee Baily has now will not fit. There new ones will be out in two weeks that will use the 09SERG seal gasket. Doc

Your very welcome Highjacker ! Just got off the phone with Joe at Cee Baileys and he says the 09 SERG shield he is making will have no slots but rather longated holes should look a lot better and fit better than any other shield out there as they will be thwe first to have a full line od 09SERG windshields to use the stock 09SERG gasket -spacer. I have orderd a new 16" round top that he is working on. Super contour dark gray tint with recurve top. Doc

Doc, Love the look. I ordered the CV stock hight with re-curve for mine. I sat on a 09 RG (not CVO) at the dealer and I could see over the top. Thats why I went with that model and height. Now looking at yours has me wondering if I made the right decision

Not to worry, CV makes a great product , windshields are like mufflers every one is searching for that perfect sound and look, same principal applies to wind protection. Over the years ive bought dozens of each, still looking.

I'm glad I kindled the fire with my comments on the fairing differences or lack of. Many excellent rebuttals. I am curious why my KW shield fits my SERG. I know The same exact shield is on a friends 08 RG. Same non slotted holes, same fit. Must be something I don't see when I'm drinking...

They have one of the best customer service I have dealt with, Joe gives me a call at least every other day to let me know what they are doing. The wait should be worth it. I did get a look at a KW 12" on a 09 SERG, the fit to me is not good, had a space between fairng and windshield, not a good seal. The guy that owned the bike said he had tried to use a rubber seal from an 08 and it would fall out of the fairing. Doc

I have asked for a 16" flare tr windshield it may get done as they are testing one now on a RG and waiting on reports. If they decide to make it for the 09SERG I will have the first one, also there is a rumor of a 17" in the making. This may all fall apart if they Joe is not happy with the new mold and fit for the 09 SERG sheilds. Doc

Update!! Will have two new Cee Bailys 15" round tops here Fri. Have to test them out for Joe and give a report back to him. He feels right now that they are not 100% and we will be working on some mounting mods. I will let you all know how it works out. If any member here would let Joe at Cee Bailys in S. L.A. have your 09 CVO SERG for a few days this would be a lot faster. If you live in L.A. and would be good enought to let Joe Have your bike he would make it worth your wait. Thanks Doc

Joe at Cee Bailys has been on this 09SERG prodject for a month now, Will seen soon if his work is good, lk4anavitr has the first one out has he lives closer to them, I believe the 15" round top will work for me, I had plenty of room over the 14" and I know Joe has changed the angle a few *. which makes the 15" taller than the orginal RG shield. Joe and others tested the 15" euro and found little differance between the euro and the round top, and they did not like the look of the euro with the 09SERG bike, they will and do have a 15" round top, which I should have Mon. Doc

I thought the same thing. I measure spots in the photo and they are good; I think it is just the cocked handlebars that make it look screwy... lol

Thanks for your inquiry and this shield will go in to production early to mid next week, I know first hand the fit and

Aesthetics are very good. Our shield is superior to the KW in every shape, way or form and I feel your pain. Unfortunately KW released a sub-standard product and won’t even make good on it? We have spent a lot of time and energy making this right and we will definitely meet or exceed the entire SERG community expectations.

The order werde placed 4 weeks ago , at a point of time when CEE did not know that their shield will fit the screaming eagles .
But the shield came back to them and now they work out a fitting one for the CVOs and will send them out when they will fit perfect by a few members which will test the fit .

It looks odd in the picture because the bike is on its kickstand and the bars are locked. The windshield is symetrical.
