I picked my bike up and immediately put her through her paces. I followed MotoMan’s recommended break-in procedures and all went well. The only adverse effect I noticed was the heat coming off the right side. However, this was not really a surprise after reading several earlier threads posted by the CVO community. As usual; I drain all fluids from the oil tank, transmission, and primary at the 50 mile mark and put in Mobil 1 V-TWIN 20W-50 in all three holes. To my surprise when I jumped back on my bike and rode 250 miles in 99 degree heat the heat coming off the right side was greatly reduced. I can only attribute this to the new oil I put in. Oh, the oil coming out of primary was full of silver specs and the magnetic drain plug was covered with silver filings. The oil coming from the other two holes was clean.

Here are some pictures of my bike with a few additions: Cee Bailey’s 13” dark windshield, H-D Windshield Trim, Corbin Solo Seat, Screamin’ Eagle shift linkage, 110 Cubic Inch Derby cover, H-D adjustable highway pegs, and footpegs.

Tomorrow (after I turn 500 miles) I’ll put on D&D Boss head pipes and mufflers, Screamin’ Eagle Heavy Breather, Screamin’ Eagle Super Tuner, floorboard extenders, and saddle bag guards.

Thanks for the birthing pics!! I was wondering what the $500 "Prep" fee was for, now I know. It was for the dude that took the box off. Seams like everything else was on the bike from the MOCO. HA, your left pipe is crooked too.

It looks like you have had plenty of time to prepare (SE shift linkage, Corbin seat, Cee Bailey’s windshield, etc.) and your SERG is really coming together nice! Congratulations, you are going to love this bike.

My promised pictures of further additions will have to wait. Late yesterday afternoon the dealership called and said they couldn't fit the heavy breather because it arrived without a gasket. They further stated they did locate a replacement gasket in Baton Rouge and it would arrive UPS this morning. Hopefully I'll pick up my GHOST today and pictures will follow.

Did my first service after 1000miles this week and noticed some filings on my primary plug also. Hows it going with the D&D??

I'm also going to put my Heavy Breather on today since my breather bolts will be here. Did your dealer just use the canned map from the super sert??

aclass - glad to hear you have the first 1K service behind you; you'll have at least 4K miles of riding pleasure until your next one. I believe the next scheduled maintenance comes at 5K. I can't speak to my dealers use of a canned map as they couldn't dyno tune it without the heavy breather. Good question though; I'll ask today.

Ah Ha! So you're going to dyno it. Sweet! I'm gonna wait until I get a few more miles on mine before reaching the rev limiter so I just put the canned map in until then. You'll love it after the dyno.

Finally – my SERG is home and I'm at a point where I can now sit back and ride; that is until the next upgrade. The D&D 2:1 exhaust with a left side ghost pipe (isn't that appropriate) are pleasing to the eye plus they sound great. These pipes could be considered loud by some standards but not obnoxiously so. I have the quiet baffle installed and I'm pleased. The Heavy Breather does its job and looks good although I'm trying to order a black filter; I don't care for the “maroonish” color. I have attached the DYNOJET sheets for all to see (max power 91 / max torque 108). I had hoped for a little more power and torque but I guess this is all I'm going to get without cracking the heads. It runs strong though and if I hadn't seen the numbers I would have been extremely pleased with the performance. I put floor board extenders on and you can see they do bring the boards out nicely. I also installed saddle bag guards and 4 point docking hardware. That's my SERG and now it's time to ride. Oh, before I forget thanks to everyone who made the various posts over the past year. Reading your evaluations and suggestions made the job of outfitting my SERG easy.

aclass – I rode my bike for two hours in 101 temps on Saturday and didn't notice any appreciable increase in heat radiating off my engine or pipes. I have an oil level and temperature dipstick on order so by next week I'll be able to tell how hot my oil is.
