I am really fortunate to still have real Gas avalible locally and using Pure-gas.org I dial up locations wherever I am to find the pot of gold. Sometimes a wild goose chase but sometimes the hunt is better than the kill and rolloing down the road the engine noticably smoother and will tolerate lower rpms where on ethanol blend runs noticable harder. This may be a by product of Steve's map for the mods I have done but more info would be needed to determine how close this map is with fuel type, octane rating, temp, altitude, etc. from the dyno run. I know with the system it is able to fine tune adjust on the fly but that map is pretty damn close to what I want out of and expect fuel mileage wise.
The only observation here is that I get a little rumble and a pop coing down through 2K on the decel and I can live with that with the mileage i get overall.
Just a few thoughts....

Actually, I stay home way more than I'd like to. But I am trying to get my monies worth out of it. If it's parked in the garage all the time, it becomes very expensive garage jewelry. :nixweiss:

wish I could say more, purchased 4/2011, have about 6K on the clock. How may of you with higher miles commute on your bikes? I have to have my van, so no commute miles here. One of the guys I work with does about 20K a year, 99.9% commute miles.
All 37k of my miles is weekends and two weeks a year vacation. I have to take one of my trucks to work. :(

I commute to work when I can (25 each way). That is probably half my miles for a year. The rest come from weekend rides, a few 3 day rides thrown in and one 8-9 day trip every summer.

It's never had ethanol in the tank. 100% premium gas only and it runs great. Lot's of 100% gas choices here in East Tennessee. :pepper:
Ethanol-free gas is darn near impossible to find here in the Greater Atlanta Area. We even have the special "Atlanta" blend of low-sulphur gas here.
Back in Sept 2008 after the hurricane knocked the Gulf refineries offline, we had our own little gas crisis here. It made me think of the Arab Oil Embargo back in the early 70s when I was but a pup... you couldn't gas anywhere here for several weeks, because they won't allow "normal" gas to be sold in the Atlanta area... only the special "Atlanta" blend.
We were coming back from BB&BBQ in Fayetteville, and got about 30 miles west of Atlanta on I-20 and needed gas. There was none anywhere... we had to turn around and ride almost all the way back to Alabama to find any gas at all, and ended up waiting in line for an hour to get it. I swear we bought the last 8 gallons that station HAD... it just trickled out of the pumps and took 3-4 minutes to fill each bike!

Wow, that's pretty poor mileage on 10% ethanol gas like mine was when I first went stage 1. I now get 39-40 city on 10% in the city and I use chevron also I did however tune fullsacs map a bit. I used to get decel pop and low RPM problems as well with fullsac map but I tuned all that out by tweaking the AFR table and changing the decel enleanment table, well not ALL of it but for certain most of it. I was not getting great mileage before I tweaked it but it jumped 3-4 MPG after and I lost no power. Most of what I changed was zero throttle position AFR made it a little less lean and the the decel enleanment table a bit less lean as well. I did lean up the very low RPM range after zero throttle position it was .900 I brought it up to 977-984 depending on the KPA cell. It runs a lot better at low RPMs and the decel pop is all but gone till it gets really hot then it pops every now and then not often though. Biggest difference is mileage it jumped at least 3-4mpg more if I stay out of the throttle but since I did not tweak anything above 1750 or so RPM I doubt staying out of the throttle would help me anymore after I tweaked than before I tweaked. It still isn't perfect and I'm going to let a local guy I know dyno it soon. But it's a lot better than before.
Oh... Got my 2012SESG In April I have 3300 miles on it at the moment.

Was just talking to Mano on another thread and I was shocked to know that he has 40000 km on his FLHXSE2. I thought I'd ask you all how long have you had your SESG and what mileage do you have on them.
I have my FLHXSE2 since 16 months and have 9300 miles approximately.

Not bad considering we cannot ride year round over here. I also take the cage to work. This is strictly pleasure. I will be going to Stirgis in August and coming back threw the Canadian provinces. I should have close to 60 000KM by the end of the year.

Yes...just check out the link that Firedood posted. The best thing about it is that it removes the moisture and then works as a cleaner for your carburetors or injectors when you finally start riding again. I also like to take it right down to fumes on that tank before filling up. This way you don't water it down. I use the whole can for one tank. I also continue to use it through out the year. For years i have been bringing it up from the U.S. Most parts stores have it even Walmart. It finally came to Canada about 2 years ago and is sold at Canadian Tire. I still buy it from the U.S. because it is about 2 to 5 dollars cheaper a can deepending on where you get it from.

There is no way that we can ride all year round up here in the great white north. Depending on when the snow/ice hits or melts it is hard to get out. I have to say that Gerbings has extended the season a bit. 6 months is average.
For the record I do not use my scoot for commuting. Always take the cage. This mileage is all pleasure on weekends, evenings and bike vacations.....come on Sturgis. :huepfenjump3:

Had a brisk 34degree ride into work this morning and this was showing on Ginger's clock in her "spot" at the office. She's still a tickin' along and has put a smile on my face for every one of those miles....Lord willing, looking forward to the next 30K

Picked it end of April, barely had chance to ride it before going on holiday for a fortnight (so frustrating!) but now clocking up the miles steadily.

Well I still own the same scoot. Daughter is going into her 5th year university so might be able to look into a new one next year but for now still happy with my scoot. Had a new long block installed last year so running great so far. Put about 10 to 12 000 KM on the loaner bike last year while I waited on the repair on mine.
So, mid season report 160 300 KM.

2010 FLHXSE/64,000 miles and going strong. Major repairs at 24K after lifter went south and rebuilt cam chest at 58K to play it safe. Gonna keep it.

3 times to Sturgis from Florida, all over states, Ride about 40% 2up. LOVE this bike. Will NEVER sell my Krypto!!! Did a cam chest upgrade with Zippers cams and a Thundermax last year with 60,000, believe it or not had minimal crank runout. I did the upgrade because I thought something should be failing at 60K, but nothing looked bad!!! :cucumber: :cucumber:
