Title: Rider/Wife/BSR Out Of Commission
Post by: 1sharprdkg on August 28, 2011, 05:04:38 PM
First no accident involved. Five years ago wife had a total left knee replacement, she often would tell me the new one didn't feel right and sometimes it would have some pain. As time went on the pain became more frequent and intense and since last year has been in a lot of pain 24/7. On Thursday Aug. 25th she had a partical replacement of the lower shin part and to the doctors surprise her artificial knee cap was loose and cracked,(MRI, Xrays did not reveal that info). Got her home from the hospital Sat. and she is doing well. Physical therapy begins Monday. Pain meds are working now and allowing her to catch up on some of the sleep she has lost over the past year. The last 3 or 4 months I really don't see how she endured the pain, I don't think I could have done it. So for a while I will wear all the hats around here, cook, maid, nurse, taxi driver, etc... Got to get her well for MV or at least enough to be my BSR. Thanks All. Wife and her ride 03RKC on the road to the Highlands, NC. (She said don't take my picture I look like crap)...women  :nixweiss:

Just prayed for you both! Knee pain is tough enough then add to the problem with knee replacement...loose and cracked? Did they determine why? Anyway, I'm glad it is behind her for now. Prayed for a fast healing with no complications. Bless you both!  :2vrolijk_21:

wishing her a speedy recovery, I had both my knees replaced at the same time so I can feel her pain.
Now a few years later can't kneel but no more pain at all don't even realize they were replaced it feels so normal
good luck      time to hire some help around the house     told my wife I felt like an 18 year old after the surgery but she would not let me have one
