Saddle Bag Spoilers with Lights
« on: April 23, 2010, 10:26:11 PM »

Just got mine today, ordered from Jenni of course.  Has anyone done this install?  Before I even start, I thought I'd ask around.  Drilling holes in these spectacular bags is really not something I take lightly!!  Thanks.

My suggestion would be have a trusted friend / engineer do it for you!  ;D

Don't see any beer cans in the background.......  Beer, and drilling on ones bike, just don't mix!!!!

And as they say:  "Don't ask me how I know"

Be sure to check the bolt height & use enuff washers.

my 'stealer' learned that from experience!

It comes with a template.  Just follow the old carpenter's adage - measure twice, cut once.  Seriously it is no big deal.  Just follow the instructions, be careful and save the beer for after the job as you admire your handywork!   :2vrolijk_21:

I don't think that would have happened if they had followed directions.  I see too many 'professionals' open the box, throw away the directions and then complain about the product being defective after they have screwed up.

Hope they took care of it - I'm sure they did.

Yep, they left those on while they ordered new ones & installed them correctly and then detailed the bike.

Only 1 of 2 times I've actually gotten good service from a (non-local) "stealer"!
They other 15+ times that I've had work done locally (all wa***ty ), they F'ed it up every time, and my wife used to work there   :rolleyes4:
