I had a post in another area and everyone helped me tons....but I still have my situation....seems as though Harley changed the plug that is under the seat to connect a wiring harness for your trailer lights....is there anyone who has same bike and is towing a trailer? If so how did you connect it ? Did you just splice into the wires? Did you find a plug and play harness ? Need help with this brothers....please someone tell me how you did it.
thanks you bro's

I don't think the SESG is the model you'll ever see many trailers behind. I think you may be on the road to trail blazing on your own. :nixweiss:

Kuryakyn lists a fitment of the following for their trailer harness adapter:
Fits: '96-'10 Softails, '97-'09 Dynas,'96-'10 Electra Glides,'98-'08 Road Glides,'06-'09 Street Glides & '96-'10 Road Kings
If that list is correct than this new connector is an inconsistent application so far. If not used on but a few models the aftermarket may quite likely be slow to catch up for what would be a small volume item. A dedicated bike trailer seller making their own rather than the general mass market might be a better place to look.
Don't discount the option of just making your own though. Part numbers for the two connectors and terminals will be in your parts manual. With those pieces in hand it's just a pass-through connector with pigtails. Anyone with a crimping tool should be able to do it relatively quickly.

Just noticed that you're just upstate from me. I'm down in Joplin. If you don't find something easily and want to go the roll-your-own route but don't have a crimping tool let me know. If you can get the part numbers out of your parts manual I'll put something together for you. It may not be as neat as a machine made piece. But it'll work fine.

Is the plug still in same spot? If so you can buy the parts to make your own adapter. ride safe jdo

That's a great Idea....as long as it works that would make me happy.....
