Hi I just order the SG and will be getting it in 2 weeks. I wanted to add the CB. The deal said it was going to be about $1400. That seems high to just add that. Has anyone added it to there bike. If so how much did it cost.. Thanks

I had the B2B installed in my RGC, it was close to that in price.
It's a lot of money but so much cleaner than any other option

Regarding the bike 2 bike cb addition, do a search on here for a thread by Harleypingman and he tells you how to do it step by step and what you need for the job with pictures.

sclones, you can use the paper catalog or check HD's website and price the major componets.

For example, the CB module will be ~$400; the Boom Audio Music and Intercom kit (p/n 77108-09A) will be about $380; the non-Ultra overlay harness will be ~$120; and you'll need a CB antenna for ~$80.

So you're at almost $1,000 w/o labor.

Many dealers are willing to discount the cost of parts with a new bike.

Having done this mod on my RG with CVO fender I can add a couple things.

There is no specific bracket for an external CB antenna for these, at first I used the am/fm bracket since my am/fm antenna is in the fairing. Then I ran into a problem since I have a detachable Tour Pak and you need an adapter for the antenna to go to the Tour Pak, but Harley's adapter will not work with the am/fm antenna bracket. I ended up getting another bracket and modifying the two to make it deeper under the fender for the adapter to work and not interfere with the saddlebag lids.

I bought a 4in1 antenna from Sierra electronics. AM/FM/WB/CB with a splitter. Works great.

Be prepared for that estimate to go up ... waaay up.
The SESG3 requires quite a bit of wiring in the fairing for B2B and CB to work. It is far from "plug and play" that your dealer probably thinks it is.
In addition to creating a 6B "audio interconnect", he'll need to add 3 additional wires from 27A to 105B.

Real pain in the butt to do.

Have they done one of these before (specifically an SESG2 or SESG3)?

Way cheaper to go with the Sena or Scala blue tooth wireless setups but don't have either one.  Never have used the cb on my bike.

What TIFT2 is referring to is that the SESG2 and 3 have unique audio wirng so the "normal" install of CB on a non-CVO SG won't work on your bike.  In fact, if you check the HD paper P&A catalog or on-line, the CB is a "no fit" on the SESG2 and 3.  Modifying the wiring on the SESG2 and 3 aren't especially difficult to install the CB, but it's not a plug and play as it is on non-CVO SG's.

Ask your dealer if he's done one on a 2011 CVO SG or 2012?  If so, he probably has a good idea of what's needed.
