Aww man, should have waited, that tribal would have totally matched my tramp stamp tattoo from the late 80s!

Just kidding. I was hoping that I wasn't going to be disappointed that I should have waited. Super excited that those do not appeal to me.

Is the air cleaner actually better performing or just aesthetically different? I do want that headlight too. Is there a difference between the daymaker and the LEDs? I thought they were one and the same but I haven't actually shopped for one yet.

Its one and the same headlight. That's the only thing I saw good about the '14's......Woooooohooooooo I have a '13 in Gold Dust.

Actually, the 5 3/4" Daymaker is different this year. Now, when flipping on the hi-beams, the lo-beam stays on.  Previous model did not do that.

I say this without any bias "The colors from 2013 blow away the 2014's"- anyone disagree?
gotta see 'em in the metal first.  Glad my wheels are all chrome.

Do the 360 view on Harley's site....it looks like the polished metal is only on the sides of the tank by the badge and the side of the fender by the struts (which could be bad because of a bolt hole like some are having issues with the seat bolt.)

I know it's easy for me to say this, given that I have crimson red, but I agree.  The details with this paint when viewed up close are amazing, and I feel like they "dumbed down" the paint on the new bikes....even though I have not seen them up close and in person, obviously, if paint does not make a favorable or interesting impression on me from a distance, I don't really care about details of it up close...

There is just no symmetry or flow to that paint work...I especially don't like the fact that the base color  is black under the struts on the orange and blue models, with a design change.  The strut should not act as a divider, changing the paint scheme.  The paint should flow on the fender and continue in spite of the strut being there.

"dumbed down"...that's a perfect description...and no flow...i totally agree...at least from the pics.  And what's with that design?  I saw somebody called it tribal...doesn't look very tribal...don't actually know what it looks like.  Plus there is no design at all on the top of the tank or rear fender.  When looking from the rear its all just a solid color.  No...they really skimped on the paint and design.  All chrome wheels on the 13 are SO much nicer.  Glad I got the 13...wouldn't have been enticed to buy a 14.  The web sit also says the seat is trimmed in horned gator...doesn't look like it in the pics.
