Since it didn't rain at all when I went down to Daytona, there wasn't much debris on the bike by the time I got home, except for bug guts.
I think I got most of them on the return trip. Anyway, I washed the bike when I got home and used Harley bug remover on them and it worked well. Except now that I have it in my garage under the lights, I see little clearcoat splotches where the bugs were.
I never had this problem before on my other bikes in the past.
I tried S100 Paint cleaner, harley cleaner, maguiers ScratchX, and few other things and they're mostly still there. :nixweiss:
Any suggestions?

Hmmmm, sounds like those bugs stayed on yer bike too long. Our Florida bugs are full of acid, and it is imperative that you get them the first day with a damp cloth and let it sit to loosen them up.
Now, after the fact, I do have a pretty good idea what you are looking at. Make sure that those spots are actually on top of the clear coat, and not embedded in it. It also sounds like you have been scrubbin away pretty good too. Hope you didn't get into the clear coat. Frankly, I would still try a damp cloth, just drape it on the bug splattered areas and let it sit for a while. Then go back and rub a bit more and see if that is helping.
The one thing you really need to be careful of is using any type of abrasive. Just slow and tedious with a microfiber is all I can recommend. There is one product for heavy soil and oxidation that has NO abrasives, and that is Glare Knock Out. 772-332-7311, ask for Steffie.

I think I'm still good on the clearcoat. No swirls or anything, just little dull marks where the bugs where.

I had exactly the same on my 06 Haze CUSE. I couldn't get rid of them either.... :-\

One more thing to note. When you used these products to try and rid the marks, you were adding a 'cover' over them. You need to use some dawn or something to get the wax off and try the rag idea again.

Yup, my comment as well. Use some wax stripper like Ditzler or Pre-Cleano degreaser products....can get at any Auto Body supply store. This is the stuff you should use before doing any body/paint work to get rid of wax, grease, fingerprints, decal stickum, and bugaboo residue. Wipe down with ultra-soft cloth and once you are clean and dry then apply wax.
When you are dealing with just flat out dried on bug guts after a ride, you might try using hydrogen peroxide (drug store variety) in a spray bottle and just spray it on and let it set for a few minutes. This stuff breaks down the enzymes and will allow for easy clean off and it won't hurt paint, plastic or metal. Also good for spraying on skinned knuckles.

I have tried all kinds of fancy stuff to remove bug guts, but the best of all is a good old fashioned terry cloth towel soaked in hot water

Try the new GLARE SAHARA Spray Wash and Detail and a good clean dry microfiber towel. It works everytime. 8)

Something that works GREAT...is the harley "swirl and scratch remover". I use it quite often. It works like magic and I swear by it. I'll ride through a swarm of locust as long as I have the bug remover and the swirl and scratch remover. Don't worry, it's non-abrasive and isn't "removing" any material. :joker:

I'll tell you one thing........that Glare is some great stuff for keeping the bug guts at bay. I rode hard for 5 straight days without wiping down the bike. When I got home, I washed the bike, and it looks just as good as it did the day I left. I'm a believer for sure.
