Title: cam area upgrade
Post by: Richyunker on September 11, 2013, 06:30:42 AM
Getting ready for winter storage, going to get the cam area inspected tensioners etc... they are talking if there is problems, bike has 30,000 miles, doing a cam area upgrade to the tune of $1,000. Is there anybody that has traveled this road before?

Ok, got word from Woodstock Harley the shoes are less than 25% worn, so here I am at just about 30k miles, and no issues. I was sure by all of the readings on the web, mine were to be junk.

What is your opinion as to what makes them wear out?
