What mods have you done to get your 95" to the 100hp mark or better?

well its an old build on my 2003 88in to a 95in build, I used, Zippers 50mm intake, T-mann heads "stage 2 i think", S&S 585 gear drive cams, SE pistons, D&D fat cat exhaust, and the old SE race tuner. got me 115hp and 103ftlbs with some tuning.

its not hard to hit 100. need some more compression, with headwork and a good set of cams, and you're right there dave mackie has a good choice of components, so does woods, you can bore your old cylinders out so you don't need to buy new ones, good luck, it only takes time and money!!

I've only owned this thing for a month. So i haven't even given it a proper seat o the pants test yet. but the charts are impressive to me. Heads are done, high compression pistons gear driven cam and high flow filter. through stock deuce pipes baffles removed. race tuner dyno tuned (attatchment)

Just got back from the Harley Shop where I just got the '04 SE Deuce off the dyno. We installed a Power Commander and dyno tuned it. It has a stock 95" with hi-flo air cleaner and Vance & Hines long shots on it. Started with base run at 90hp. & 96 torque. Ended up with 95hp & 103 torque. Not bad for now.

for all out hp and torque, I believe thunder header is the one, but kinda loud, d&d makes some good pipes, too and there is vance and hines, which in my opinion makes the best quality pipe, with very good number results, they akways fit, and last a long time, the only pipe that ever gave them trouble was their propipe, it would "gold" up in  the middle of the muffler

I'm below 100 HP/TQ, but did have the Thunderheader on mine for a while, and the dyno on that looked like hell. Top WOT numbers were good, but it had a huge hole in the lower mid-range. Besides, looked like crap on the bike.

Your best all around exhaust will be a 2 into 1 for sure. These 95's don't need much to get into the triple digits. Cams, decent exhaust, intake, and a good tune. I'm in the high 80's for HP and mid 90's for TQ with just exhaust, intake, PCIII and and a John Golden custom tune. Cams would definitely push me over, but I'm happy with where I am.

I just changed my '03 SED exhaust, from V&H Short Shots to a Bub 7  2-1 and it added alot, Gonna have my Dyno tune done at PPP (Pro Power Performance) here in Boise. I can tell u that it improved performance from 2500 and above, alot! And it just keeps pulling faster and harder as it winds out! I also did a 2-1 on my Evo and it is a Kerker, and of the two, I really like the fit and finish of the Bub 7, although the Kerker is quieter, it also felt stronger than the ShortShots that were on it. If I was concerened about sounds however I would have stuck with the ShortShots, They (my bikes) no longer say "potato, potato, potato.......

you have to take that black bracket and get it chromed, it will look so much better, and use chrome bolts to fasten it to the frame rail

I assume your lower frame rail cove is off because of exhaust install?, If you're gonna leave it off due to exhaustg fit, try to do something about those black zip ties. I'm n ot picking on you or your bike, its those little things that seperate your bike from everybody elses! your bike is very nice, by watching the details, it becomes an exceptional bike!! as a side note, zip ties (ones that show) are evil ones that don't are your best friend, I've seen the most beautiful bikes,  only to be ruined to a couple visible zip ties, guys have lost shows over a zip tie, no joke

Those black ties were what clued me in that I was missing something. I would look at other bikes like it and they didn't have anything showing. Well I eventully figured out that there should be covers for the lower frame rail and when I asked nicely why they were missing, they said alot of those bikes didn't even come with them. Next time I complained to Sales manager and I got the same crap. I was a good customer to that HD shop, no more. So now I am stuck with having to pay retail to someone who can get these , sucks...... if anyone has an idea on where I can get a set of them, please LMK

I know my dealer, specificlly, the sales manager at High Desert Harley, could have gotten the parts at cost or something, but he pointed out that I had signed a paper saying that this was an AS IS deal....... Nearly $600 for the pair, painted the gold color. I must have a stick poking out my as$$ cause to them I am a sucker.

the set I have I bought to cut up and make the ones on my bike look the same all the way back without any cutouts, needed the same curved plastic shape, worked well, looks fantastic, only thing is , I'm the only one who notices. so my spares are all cut up, wern't the painted ones anyhow. have you looked on e-bay?

stock 95" in my SE deuce just finished w/ PCIII dyno tune and 2/1 pipe. Will figure out how to scan my printout but basically 83HP/ 98torque. I don't find it to be any faster, but it is smoother running to a degree. There was too much fuel in some positions, not enough in others... Very happy with the results.

I only have the numbers from the original build and it was up at 109 with custom ported and polished SE heads, SE 10.5 to 1 dome tops and a 585 cam with Supertrapp 2 into 1's. Runs better now with the Gerolomy intake and the T-Max computer with RSR custom pipes with dual o2 sensors. Needs to go back in for a 5000 mile tune, guy did 26 runs doing the last tune, he tunes at every load on a super trapp but won't print out the sheets just says ride it who cares what the hp is. It is smooth fast and gets good gas millage, what more can I want.

26 pulls! nice good to see somebody actually doing a proper dyno tune, but you most likely paid a small fortune for it as well. hope you didn't watch that process...very violent, very heartbreaking to watch your bike getting the crap kicked out of it!! but well worth the final results. tuner should give you the sheet though, but he's  right about numbers not making the bike run well
