Title: Front Suspension Upgrade
Post by: sixgun95 on September 08, 2018, 11:51:30 PM
Looking to upgrade the front suspension on my Limited, anyone very happy with theirs?  Recommendations? The stock setup is horrible IMO.

I'm 5'10" and tip toe on standard shocks so I put progressive 944 on the back and put a progressive 1" drop front end in.  Holy COW that was a good call.  No nose dive when hitting the front brake and it just feels more solid on cloverleafs.  I'd buy them again in a minute and if I didn't need the 1" lower, I'd get the progressive springs anyway.

I went with the Ohlins FKC 102 front fork cartridges in the front and HD 772 rear shocks in the rear, very happy with the results, I think what ever you go with you will notice a great improvement.

What should I expect to pay for the 102's with installation?  Ohlin makes some nice stuff, I have the #3-#3 on the reat end...they are fantastic.

I believe I paid $925.00 from Cycle Solutions which included 2 qtrs. of Ohlins fork oil and 3 special tools, I did the install myself, I would guess a dealer or indy would charge anywhere from $250.00 to $300.00

I also did the Ohlins and love them. I will also be putting them on the 19 I have coming in. Had dealer do them and if my memory is correct they charged me around $150

At 1k miles I upgraded mine to Ohlins both front and rear, I also upgraded the brakes to oversize rotors and radial calipers both front and rear. Corners like a dream including slow speed thru parking lots, no more heavy feeling front end. Square edge bumps no longer crush your vertebra.
Several companies offer the kit but I purchased mine thru https://www.krausmotorco.com (https://www.krausmotorco.com)
