Next questions: '00 SERG tool kit and passenger grab strap
« on: November 18, 2010, 09:06:03 AM »

The parts manual shows a tool kit for '00 SERGs  -  did they actually come with one?  Has anyone purchased one?  A passenger grab strap came with my SERG loose in the tour pak.  I've only seen one or two pics showing the strap installed.  Does it attach to the front saddlebag mounting brackets?

I'm not sure about the Grab Strap (AKA Holy Chit Handle) but mine had a tool kit in it when I got it.  I can't say for sure if this is origional equipment tool kit but I believe it is.

OK, so Marty helped you (and me, LOL) out with the toolkit questions, so here's the answer to your grap strap question .... Yes, it attaches behind the front saddlebag bracket:

That's the same one that came with the SEEG.  Looks like I'm not done with my SERG shopping, even after 3 years!  Thanks, Marty!

LOL, thanks, Rimjam.  I'd have to look at it again, but I think it's somewhere around 17,800, or so.  Check around, there are several photos of it here on the site, if you're interested.
