Title: Another Hard Candy Arrival
Post by: jamnflhxse2 on December 28, 2014, 08:25:57 PM
Well my new HC CVO Street Glide finally showed up 12-19-14 and I picked it up 12-21-14! Paint looks great no real issues other than a tiny chip on underside of saddle bag lid. Very happy with the bike and it looks great!! Now if we can push spring up a couple months I'd be really happy!

Did you get it from Conrad's or Chitown?

Congrats!  I'm anxiously awaiting Spring as well....but in Chicago....this could be another 3 to 4 months of misery! :-X

Thanks Nicky Pass. Conrad's. I've been friends with the Conrad family for a long time, Great people, I've bought all my bikes there. Got a great deal on it as well.

Picked up my HC on 12/5 from Superstition HD in Phoenix and immediately road it home to Louisville, KY. That was 700+ miles per day for 3 days.  I love the lower fairings for eliminating leg fatigue on the long, high speed, slab runs, and my heated gear for keeping me toasty on those predawn starts in December :2vrolijk_21:  .

Shout out to my VERY understanding wife, and to Superstition for giving me a quality HD rain suit :bananarock:.  I guess they cared about my comfort and safety on that "record breaking" burn-in ride. The bike ran well and got high marks on the first service at Bluegrass HD. Kudos to both dealerships for coordinating the warranty tin swaps due to paint imperfections. Let the mods begin.

I heard that the MoCo voids the warranty if you put aftermarket headers on.  Is that true?  Gotta get rid of the catt.

If you can do your own wrenching, take off that cat, save it and if anything goes wrong slap it back on. I know my dealer, knowing that I use a non factory header and tuner  would not screw me with warranty.    You will need a tuner if you remove your factory head pipe, I recommend the PV2, which you can load a map to the bike, it saves your original ECM config, and if needed you can flash the bike right back to original and all is good.  I used Fuel Moto 2-1-2 ceramic header and they also provided me with a PV2 map that truly woke that 110 up and runs fantastic. great group of folks at FM and any questions they are certainly willing to take calls and assist.
PM me or ask away here if you have any questions...  And no I am not an affiliate or receive any kick back from Fuel Moto.. just great people

I was visiting my Daughter at UA and family in Phoenix for Thanksgiving. I had been looking for this bike in HC for a couple of months but couldn't find one. Had 4 hours to kill before our flight home so I called Superstition (5 min from my 'rents) and they said they had one in stock for a week.  :drummer:Saw it, loved it, wife said "you have your gear with you, ride it home."  Who am I to argue with that!?

I do enjoy doing my own wrenching... Guess I'll save the cat just in case. I used the TTS Master Tune on my SERK, but the PV2 is on my short list for the SESG. That and the V&H 450s and power duals.  Between college tuition and my two wheelin habit I need another job :(

Ok, in all fairness I bought mine while my wife was in SFO on business....then I called and told her.  She was ok with it because I hadn't bought another drag bike.  LOL!
