Passenger Pegs
« on: May 23, 2010, 04:43:30 PM »

Anyone know if and when the passenger foot pegs will be offered for sale as an accessory rather than replacement only?  I am trying to match the passenger foot pegs for my highway pegs but the dealer tells me they are not yet available as an accessory or kit and piecing them together as a replacement part will cost about $200 just for the pegs.

Consider yourself lucky. That's a lot cheaper than replacing the passenger pegs with floorboards. (Which is how many of us got foot pegs to go on our highway pegs...)

Floor boards was my original thought to get the pegs until I realized it would cost a minimum of $500 to piece that set together.  Think I am going to wait until July and hope that when next years models come out they will make kits or accessory options for pegs and boards from 2010.

Wow.  Took mine off, plan to use them as highway pegs also.  Wife rides her own bike so no need for passenger pegs.

Don't know when they will be available as a set, but just purchased the parts to complete a set from Jenni for $161.24 plus shipping.

I think I paid about $670 for all the parts to add passenger footboards AND the highway peg mounts that I used my old passenger pegs on.

Everything was from www.LSHD1.com

Who is "Jenni" and did that include the highway peg mount set up or just the two pegs?

The passenger pegs from the plain street glide or from the old FLHRS Roadking Custom match up pretty well.

Reading through this thread, it sounds like HD does not have highway pegs that match the passenger pegs?

If there's not matching highway pegs, has anyone figured a way to fashion some out of the passenger pegs?

Just take the passenger pegs off and install them on some Kuryakyn hiway peg mounting brackets....they are the berries!

Just ordered the adjustable passenger footboard mounting kit #50768-07, the swept wing passenger footboard pans #50357-04 and the rumble inserts #51502-09 and #51510-09. Now I can use my passenger footpegs as highway pegs. Good to go.  :2vrolijk_21:

What did that run you?

I don't have a passenger often enough for that to be a worthwhile investment.

I ended up finding some pegs that match the mustache bar pads quite well and look real nice in my opinion.  And, they only ran me $60 for the set.
