Just spoke to my dealer and he said a few days ago he got a letter on HDNET that ALL colors have been put on hold except the Autumn Haze/Gun Stock. He had a Black/Orange one coming any day and it was just changed to the Autumn Haze color instead. I wonder if something is wrong with the black paint then?

Any one else hear this now?

don't think it's the black as the black is different on each CVO model (except the Red/Black SEURG and the SEUC6). The Sales Manager at my dealership told me it was the green that they are having problems with.

All I know is they aren't shipping the krypto green SESG2 anytime soon.

Yeah I got the copy of the letter and posted it on the site about the Green, but he said it was about 5 days after that letter a new letter came out saying that they are all delayed except the Autumn Haze.

Maybe they're making a "special" run of Autumn Haze SESGs to make up for the Green/Black ones that were supposed to ship and that's why only the Haze is shipping?

I have no clue, but the Autumn Haze is the only one that does not have ANY Black Diamond in it...

WTF? No Kidding!!!!! I will see what I can find out tomorrow on this end and get back to you. Now, we may have a Krypto/Black, Orange/Black and Black/Crimson brotherhood of "waiting" for our bikes. Oh well, more buddies to weep with

Wise, I think its time to find another salesman..... I just checked HD net, and there are no newer dealer letters than the one you posted pertaining to the Kryptonite. The one you posted was dated Sept. 3.

Best to ask your sales guy and have him show you the letter for proof..........

I bet your dealer has an Autumn Haze coming anyway and trying to see if you'll give in to the Autumn Haze....

I'm still holding out for the Krypto! It's gonna happen. It will be worth the wait!

:(My black and orange was supposed to be delivered in Oct. My dealer called me Wed and said it won't be coming in until Dec now. They are getting a gunstock in Oct now. I put a deposit down the day the announced the new models, getting very impatient. At least it will be a christmas present if it comes in in Dec. I have my doubts.

Same thing my dealer said.

I spoke to another dealer first thing this morning and I knew they were getting a Black/Orange in any day. It came yesterday and it was the Autumn Haze NOT black/orange. He did not even know until they opened the crate and told him...

Good things come to those who wait. They may not be here this year, but they're coming. What's a few more month's?

No business can afford to write of 1000 plus bike sales due to paint issues. There's heads rolling someplace right now.

Stick with the one you want.

I just talked to a dealer in Atlanta and they confirmed something is going on with the paint (black). He didn't know specifics but said he would call me later in the week with an update. They are getting an Autumn Haze and were supposed to be getting a black/crimson tag.

I spoke to a friend of mine who has a few VERY good friends at Harley corporate and the Kryptonite MIGHT be a no go. He said that they might pull the color. If I hear some more info I will let you guys know. So far everything he has told me has been 100% on track, even this info I got on these bikes being delayed even longer. Some wrote here that no such thing, but the proof is in these calls we are getting from our dealers. This SUCKS!!!!

Wow. That would be amazing. It amazes me that this can be a paint problem. How can a company this size not do their homework before releasing a color? Arthey painting in house or farming it out? Either way, how can you not have this together? On the bright side for others, maybe this means there will be a SESG3, assuming they can work out their problems and try the color again for 2012. I hope so, I think the color is definitely a head turner. Good luck to you Wiseasp.

Looks like the Street Glide is the bike everybody wants so far. Toronto Harley has a 2011 CVO Road Glide and a CVO Convertable on the floor. They even have a brand new 2009 CVO Road Glide. 1 CVO Ultra is coming too.They will be getting 3 SG's. Mine being the first (which was swapped for an orange and ordered on July 27) and 2 greens already sold. I do not think they will be getting anymore

Remember the '02 SERK's?...very few red ones were built/shipped due to paint problems. Orders were filled with purple/silver.

I was just at Rocky's Harley in London yesterday and mine is slated to be shipped this thursday. I ordered the black diamond. They told me the kryptonite is flaking off. They are not sure why and still are working on the issue. All other bikes supposedly are being built. Kitchener Harley just confirmed 2 more ordered for April and they are still for sale if you guys are interested. I believe orange and black is one of them.
Can't wait to see mine.

What I heard from my dealer in Cairo is that the Krypto was supposed to be shipped out first then it was switched to Inferno Orange that i originally ordered. Lucky me

Still didnt get my bike though; 4 to 6 weeks of waiting are due.....

I used mcguires gold wax and only the micro cloths. No more swirls.

I haven't had any problems with my black or the orange. Talked to someone at HD and they knew of no problems with the paint. Other than the delay in the Kryptonite. As far as the swirl marks I use Glare to get the swirl out and then follow up with a couple of coats of Zaino. It's worked for me so far.

yeah i her up on the lift now, getting ready to do the entire Zaino process over the winter. it worked great on the 2010 Camaro.........hoping for the same results.
