Mate that would be a bummer if the warranty was voided.!
And I wonder what the freight from the US would be , maybe when you weigh that up the $990 odd you paid isnt too bad!
I cant imagine Harley Oz making too much of a price adjustment even tho AUD$ is strong.

Guys, freight on my last shipment of V&H slips ons for my Road King last year was approx $95.  So in essence around $600ish landed.  My dealer was happy for me to get them from the US and did not void warranty on my last bike and it would be the same now with the HO slip ons. :orange:  To say that if you get them in from the US will void the warranty (exactly what they do) is a bit rich I think!!

Forgot to add, I originally enquired about the Power Duals, H/O slips ons and the race tuner (including cable kit to laptop, CD ROM and tuner training CD)- $1598 all up delivered from M&M! We get ripped!

Very true that we get ripped Lance - my quote for exactly what you were quoted below was an even $3000. My price also included fitting & the dyno tune but geez this hurts!!
Anyways that the price of ownership we pay here.
Cheers
Glen.

Guys, can anyone answer the question - if i just fit H/O slip ons and no tuner or headers, will it damage the bike (run too lean)?

Hi Lance. Mate I can't  answer that question , I just dont much about that sort of thing. I would ask my mechanic if I were you . I am lucky to have a great mechanic up here in QLD , but he is hols until the end of next week, but I can ask him when he returns.
I think that V&H have a question and answer section on their website ? Have a look there.

Picked up my bike today - fairly warmish day - as you know I have the V&H high output slip ons, race tuner with base map (bike will be dyno tuned once it goes in for the first service @ 1600kms) - gotta say I had no issues with heat at all compared to other high capacity twins I have owned. Spent 20 minutes in heavy traffic getting home - no discomfort at all.

Hope this helps answer a few questions. Still awaiting my owners manual - not in as yet. I had no idea all the goodies that came with the bike - leather backpack & booker holder, CVO bike cover, Jiffy stand, cleaning kit, gold key, tshirts, key rings, pins, ripper tool kit, plus other stuff I cant remember - all gratefully accepted. Other guys were picking up their stockers at the same time - wasnt good me picking mine up at the same time - many envious faces. :cucumber: :bananarock: :orange:

Ok, I've never seen the leather backpack that's nice. :2vrolijk_21: Now I see what you are talking about referring to the "Jiffy Stand".. I/we call the "Jiffy Stand" the part that is attached to the bike and sits in that disc.

Hey Glen, congrats on the pick up mate.  I get mine this afternoon (still stock exhaust).  Will see how it goes and will order the slip ons/tuner etc over the next week or so (once 'she who must be obeyed' gets over the initial sticker shock of the bike purchase!).  Like the accessories line up - I am assuming this is the standard deliverable for all Aussie models.  How does the bike sound with the V&Hs? :2vrolijk_21:

Are you going to the national HOG rally at Mt Buller in December - if so I will keep an eye out for you?

Hey Lance
Seems we will all be picking ours up in a similar times frame. The pipes just sound great with a real meaty bark - hope the sphincter police like the sound also! To be honest I'm very overwhelmed with it in my garage - I'd been saving for 5 years to buy a stock street glide (only way to get approval from the minister for war & finance) but never thought I'd be in a position to get this grand bike.

I work most weekends but am aiming to be at the Hog rally - would be good to catch up.
Life is indeed good
Cheers
Glen
