Slight hesitation
« on: October 31, 2010, 06:15:28 AM »

Guys, I think this problem may be similar to the throttle body issues raised some months ago.  My 2011 SESG is still standard but I have noticed some hesitation (like a small backfire) at critical points at times, like when starting from a stationary position or pulling away from the lights?  Has anyone else experienced this and what can I do to fix it - I certainly have not had this on any Harley before this?  Lance   :nixweiss:

I have the same problem...I was gonna wait and see how it runs after I install the TTS and a good map.

My '10 SESG had the same issue, even with aftermarket exhaust installed.  I think the TTS would remedy that problem fairly easily.

I have a 2010 SESG that had the same problem. Took back to the dealer 2 times. Said it was running OK.  Bought the super tuner and fixed it myself. Bike now runs great.

I think the TTS will fix it also...that's why I didn't bother bringing it in for the dealer to tell everything was "normal". It's just wasting my time.....

Just get the stock crap off of it and your problems will be over.

TTS map , baffles, and x pipe. Thats all it needs.

Had the same problem with mine while running the bike in. Just lived with it untill had the 1st service. Then fitted V&H Pipes and high output mufflers. Then Installed the Thundermax Autotuner............ Enough said! Bike runs and pulls like a train. ;D

Thanks guys.  Have just ordered power duals, HO mufflers and SE super tuner (for warranty).  That should do the trick.  I just wonder why HD dont fix the problem for a bike of this price.

Guys, rode again today and still have that hesitation and mini backfire at times.  I am hoping your advice here about exhaust upgrade and a SERT will fix the problem.  Other than that it is fantastic.  My V&H power duals, H/O slip ons and super tuner arrive this week.  Lance :jack: 8)
