the accessorie trim rings for the speakers wont fit the 2011 as the grilles are different and stick out further , tried the ones off my 2009 electraglide and they wont fit

Looks much better IMHO.  Does anyone make a chrome trim ring for the tweeter to match the ones on the gauges? Looks like that would look good.

I was thinking the same thing. I seen some chrome trim rings for the gauges but they do not look big enough......has anyone tried it?

no the HD trim rings for the large speakers , the fronts on the new speakers come out further and are not flat like the other speakers

Drag specialties makes some for the large speakers that look just like the ones on the gauges with nothing running through the middle. so them not being flat shouldn't matter.  Still think it looks like the gauge trim rings could go over the tweeter grills.

Modification looks nice!   Looks like it belongs that way with speakers next to head unit.

Yes I agree but it is about the "LOOK" and being able to scan the gauges quickly. You really cannot hear any difference. Saying that it also made sense for the tweeters to be mounted in the upper holes because they are angled towards you.

Great post and pix. Thanks Mano. Even though the tweets are extremely directional, I'll bet even the most critical ear couldn't tell the difference with the bike moving. Good job and I like your taste in music. Also hope thats not AM on the clock!
