Cyclesmith 13's on FLHXSE3
« on: April 20, 2014, 05:11:20 PM »

Bike is back in business. Did the bars myself and saved about 900 bucks that I turned around and put into the motor. Here's a couple pics. I can see under my arms to see the mirrors just fine. I am only 5'6" short so that helps. Bars are rolled as far forward as possible.

Looks great. I have been waiting on pictures. I think I saw where you went 6 inches longer on the cables.  Did you have to extend your wiring? What do you think of the ride? I am looking to do the same.

Extended both cables and soldered in my own extensions. I'm adjusting to them I like the way they handle so far. Long trip will tell.

I really like the look Jesse.  Interested in knowing how they feel on a long trip.  :P

Bars came out great.  Might take a couple of rides to get used to them. My ride home ,,,  I thought,,,,,hmm these sure are different,,,   By day 2 I was lovin em.  Would never want to go back to low again. I have mine pushed up forward as possible too. Enjoy!!!    Stuart

Already settling in Stu. Just need to get the bike setup for a long trip and do a test run! Had my 1 piece seat modified by mean city cycles with memory foam so I want to try that out too!

Looks great!

At 5'-8" my 12" Yaffee's (actually 13") are the perfect height.

Waaaaaaaaaaay, better than stock height. You're gonna love them!

I pulled the bars back about an inch today. Just didn't feel 100% comfy. I am getting used to them though and I like the way the bike handles.

Were you able to make that adjustment without removing the radio?   The front screws looked tough to get at,,,    Thanks

I don't do it by the front I slide the radio back. Only takes a few minutes. Just use a good ball allen wrench. The front two bolts are supposed to be tight enough to have the clamps touching and the rear 2 bolts are used for adjustment according to the manual.

Looks like rain today for you Stu!
