No market. They've been making those calipers since the early 80's. There's millions of them around. I have them on 2 of my 3 bikes. I use Lyndalls in them now. Why wouldn't you think, if the word got out on these, that there'd be no marketfor them? :nixweiss: Hoist! 8)

I can't argue about how many were manyfactured or about how many are still in service. It wasn't a system known for it's great stopping ability, so I bet loads of them were shucked for more capable units. That system has been out of production since 2000, with the exception of the Springer, so if it isn't a dead market, it is shrinking all the time.

My gut tells me no, but I could be wrong.

Where does one pick up a set of either of these sets of pads?

These pads are currently experimental and not for sale yet. Two initial sets were made and I was real lucky to get to try a set on my bike. I ain't giving them back, no way.

If anything else happens, good or bad, I'll post it here.

Any idea if/when they may be done with the R&D?

Sorry, I don't have any information on that.

Chuck,
Are you still going to try to test/compare them to the Lyndalls?

I opened a question to Max in the Vendor Service Area, regarding Traxx plans to get the pads to market.

Gary,

Yes. I think it is a very worthwhile coparison as the Lyndall's are so widely accepted as a great improvement over stock. Max has been out of town this week, so I can understand not hearing anything so far. Maybe we'll get something going next week.

Ok, thanks. I'm needing to do something by the end of the month and since the ones you have are so new I doubt they will be available by then. However it would be nice to know when I get the Lyndall's that I will be close/equal to/better then the ones you're testing now.

I think going with Lyndalls is a good idea. Hopefully a comparison with the new pads isn't too far off in the future.

You might want to check your dealer as mine carries them for $48/set.
