Title: Boom Audio Amp will it fit?
Post by: Jordan1200 on July 31, 2021, 10:52:20 AM
Can anyone tell me if this amp 76000277A will work on a 2021 Road Glide Limited?

Any idea what year it is out of? I can't chase down the part number for a pix right this minute.

The '15 and '16 cvo RGU comes with one in The fairing so if it's the same one, it'll fit.

Now with that said, unless you're getting it very cheap along with speakers you're better off going aftermarket. Better sound and less money depending on what you choose to spend. The Boom setup will require more hanesses and a flash from a dealer or local shop that can do it.

It's my buddy's bike. He was going to put it in a 2017 Road glide. He got rid of that bike and now has a 2021 Road Glide and wants to put it in. Dealer Tech told him it wouldn't work, I have my doubts about that. That's why I posted here

That amp is used in the 2021 CVO bikes.  Can't speak to what else is required to make it play.  But it does play in the 2021 models.

Ok. Makes sense after I read that again. 2021 they went to a Fosgate system. I'm thinking that's why the Tech said it won't work.  I'm guessing it would if you found a tech that could program the bike for it.

You mean just to enable it? Would an aftermarket amp also need to be programmed?

Correct just to enable it the head unit needs to know it's there. Some aftermarket setups don't require it depending on what company you go with. I believe Biketronics is one of them.
