Off the cuff.... has anyone converted their old style bags and lids to the new style?

I have not but did prepare to do so when my 2009 SERG went down. It was not hard and I found instructions on RoadGlide.org. It's been a while but I recall you had to modify the brackets to make the bags fit. Dealer convinced me to get the 2015 RGU, instead. Hope this helps.

I thought he was looking for a kit to redo existing
bags. That’s what I would like to do also

Yea that would be nice if there was a kit. I am sure there will be some drilling involved.

At one time, there was a company, or someone, that made an adapter clip to do just that. You remove the spring clip on the pre-Rushmores, bolt this clip in and it provides the correct offset and threaded holes for the new style bags to fit. The support brackets are the same. A friend of mine bought them online and installed them on his 2010 Streetglide, I liked it so much I was going to put them on 2006 Streetglide, but alas, decided to buy a 2015… he has since passed away so I cannot ask him where he picked them up. They looked so simple, I asked myself, “why didn’t I think of that?” I will see if I can find anything on them, if they are even still around.

Here is a youtube video I found. Not the manufactured brackets I was looking for, but looks easy enough to modify the fronts to work.

Great info Threephase thanks. Looks like I need to use the 14+ bags and lids plus getting them painted.......Prob have $ 2000 or more invested in that  :-X.  I was originally thinking of converting my 13' bags and installing the 14+ hardware in the lid.
