Title: Faded Jacket
Post by: 11seshark on April 08, 2011, 11:26:33 PM

I got my leather jacket cleaned but it is really sun faded.
Any suggestions on a way to get it back to being all black?

a boot shop could dye it back to black for you,or you could just hit it with some mink oil to keep the leather soft and somewhat weather proof and have that well seasoned look.

Sorry it took me awhile to get back. The Doc Baileys stuff works GREAT
Jacket looks new and it is very soft. Looks like Doc Baileys will add years to my leather!!!

Thanks for the heads up!!!!! :2vrolijk_20:

:2vrolijk_21:  I've got a 4 year old Fox Creek jacket that still looks brand new.  I'd like it to look a little more weathered (and yes, I do wear it,  ;))

My Vanson leather model B had some zipper issues, called Vanson repair shop and got a great price on replacing all zippers......they also offered relining the inside with new material, which I had them do. They also said they could drum re-dye it also......passed on that service.....it took me twenty years of owning it to get that road worn patina on. Didn't want to erase the memorys
