Question about tuning
« on: July 08, 2021, 02:28:58 PM »

When I put this 51mm throttle body on my 2004 SEEG is it even going to be rideable before I have it tuned?
Everything inside the engine is bone stock except for the cam plate, pushrods and oil pump, it’s a 103” with Rinehardt true duals.
Or should I haul it to a tuning shop?

It'll need to be tuned ASAP but whether you ride it in or trailer it in (I think that's your question) depends on how far it is to the shop. A short run should be ok but a little common sense will go a long way on this one. It's never a good idea to ride any distance on a bad tune, although I ass-ume running rich for a bit is better than running lean.

Good Luck

I have toyed with the idea of putting a restrictor plate on it, until I can get it tuned, I live in po’ dunk so I’m gonna have to take it about 70-80 miles to get it tuned and who knows when they can do it.
Not looking forward to losing and bottom end power, but unless I can come up with a stock tb or a shaft for the one I have, it is what it is
