Very nice!  My parents have a 21G that they really enjoy!  That will be quite a change from your big one, enjoy and be safe!

restroom.  And this trailer has three roof vents (bathroom, bedroom and living area) all with fans with wall switches.

Very nice package! I noticed you have plenty of leg/knee room in your office which is crucial for us taller guys.  :2vrolijk_21:

Well done!

25', 9,995 lb. bumper pull toyhauler that's half ton towable.

Congrats on your new toyhauler. We went with a 24' RV for the same reasons as you in that it is more national park friendly and to store our ebikes, but needed something to tow our Jeep also. Ended up with a Coachman CrossTrail 22xg, and hope our paths cross sometime.

Nice setup.  We are looking into getting a Motor Home or Toyhauler in the next 2 years.  If motor home I'll get a 4 place bike trailer to pull.  Pros and cons to each.  Had travel trailer for years when raising our children, would put my fatboy in the bed of the truck.

We were full time RVers in a much larger Grand Design Momentum (the Momentum line is Grand Design's toy haulers).....42' with five slide outs.  We learned a lot while RVing and one of the things was that with a big RV of any type you are very limited in campgrounds, state parks and national parks and because they have so few of spaces to accommodate the large rigs without reservations far in advance.  So we ended up spending the large majority of our time in commercial RV Parks rather than campgrounds, state parks and national parks.  This past summer we traveled a little over 11,000 miles with a 22' travel trailer and we didn't make any reservations and was able to stay in campgrounds, state parks and national parks.  Also, with the monster RVs you pretty much travel interstate freeways but pulling that travel trailer this past summer we intentionally avoided interstate freeways and traveled two lane back roads, county and state highways instead.

Another thing to consider if you go with a motorhome and pull a trailer with motorcycle(s) in it.......you are limited to good weather when you're set up some place.  If it's raining you're not going to want to ride to go sightseeing, grocery shopping, etc. etc.  With a 5th wheel toy hauler you do have the truck to run around in when it's bad weather.

Attached is the toyhauler that we were full time RVers in.  It's great to have all that room when you're in one location for a period of time but not great when you're moving from point A to point B.  However, we now have enough experience to know that the 25' Momentum that we just bought will work better for us and the kind of traveling that we do.

Just some things to think about and consider.

Nice looking trailer. How is it pulling 9,995lbs with a 1/2 ton truck? We are looking at the grey wolf 26mbrr to put both our street glides in and all in trailer would be 7,500 to 8,000lbs, and I am concerned about pulling it with our 1/2 ton Silverado.

9,995 lbs is the GVWR.  It has a dry weight of 6,400 lbs.  I expect to be somewhere in the 8,500 lb. range.  My trucks towing capacity with the 3.5L Ecoboost, Longbed, the Ford Max Tow Pkg., 4x4 and 3:55 rear end is 11,604 lbs.  I just pulled it from Peru, Indiana to Tucson, Az. without any issues.  I did stop at Performance Trailer Braking in Norman, Oklahoma and had Preston put disc brakes, heavy duty shackles and the MorRyde equalizers on it.

5.3L or 6.0L engine? I've got enough experience with the 5.3 to say if you're staying on flat ground, you'll be okay but wishing for more engine. No experience on the 6.0L to comment. I'd make sure you have a trans cooler no matter what. GM doesn't seem to think they're needed on their 1500 series trucks.

I do completely understand what you are saying about the motorhome and a bike trail, being limited to nice days.  We are mainly looking at using for 3 months in the winter, staying a few weeks in one spot, moving and few weeks in another and so on.  May do a couple two to three week trips during summer.  Really wanting 33 to 36 foot if we go this route.

I have looked at fifth wheel toy haulers.  They have just got so dang big. You start limiting a lot once you go over 36 foot.  Some places even 36 is too long, when towing with a crew cab dually.

We plan to attend the RV super show in Tampa this winter.

Nice trailer JCZ maybe we will see you at a rally.

We plan to be in Quartzsite again, in Jan for the big tent RV show (see photo)......the largest gathering of RVs in the world.  We'll also be at the Grand Design Tucson Rally in the spring.

We're very familiar with winter camping.  We spent a winter in Colorado back when we were full time RVers.  That's a whole different ball game.....

Most National Parks and many state parks are limited to 35' however, it's still hard to find any spaces available without reserving nine months or a year in advance.

It’s the 5.3. I have a max tow rating of 9,600lbs. It does have a trans cooler and I added a brake controller. Has for payload I would have to double check the sticker. JC do you have a website for the brake upgrades you did to the trailer?

I have done winter camping like that.  However I was not clear, by winter camping I meant leaving TN in Dec or Jan and going to TX/AZ/NM for a few months.  That said what ever route I go a want a very well insulated 4-season unit
