M8 Stage II

Kcoop:
I have a 2017 CVO Limited with the 114 M8 with Stage I (SE Tuner, Fulsac 2" muffler cores, SE Air cleaner). I am considering adding the SE Stage II Torque cam, SE cam plate and hi volume oil pump, SE Auto Tuner, and Fulsac X-pipe. Has anyone done something similar? Was it worth the cost?

I also have a 2017 CVO Limited. I had my dealer install a Stage 2 torque cam and Street Cannons before delivery so I can’t compare it to a stock bike. No other additions beside the cam and mufflers.
It’s a great running bike and have had no issues with it at 22K miles. I had it dyno tuned with the street tuner. The tech said he did some auto tunes.
Based on my experience I would highly recommend the torque cam. We’re always 2-up and it has tons of low end power. We wanted to keep the Harley warranty. Here’s the dyno graph.

I had the HD torque cam installed in my 2017 CVO Limited along with the S&S El Dorado exhaust and SE auto tuner. The bike had great manners and ran really good on the interstate, torque where you need it.

I know there are a lot of aftermarket options out there but I think HD has done a good job working within the EPA parameters. Worth the money? To me yes…

I just finished installing the stage II SE 462 power cam on my 2020 CVO with 117 and absolutely love it. Everything is SE from the complete exhaust, pro street tune and smart tune pro.  I also upgraded the cam plate, oil pump, cam bearing and lifters while in there.  Most everyone told me I would lose low end torque with the 462 power cam and they were wrong.  It is a fantastic cam and runs like a scalded ape throughout the entire RPM range.  Certainly there are better performance aftermarket cams out there but for what they are, the SE cams aren't that bad.

Your warranty is gone as soon as you remove the header pipe and replace with a cat less. At that point, you have the option to use whatever tuner you want and cam. Look into a kit from fuel Moto with either a Woods 22XE or 22X cam and a Powervision tuner or license with their map on it. It will run better and make more power plus you will be ready to go when you want a big bore kit:)
