I wasn't ready for a Geezer Glide - New FXDSE in Cowtown
« on: May 12, 2007, 10:14:39 AM »

Hello to all. Was told about this board by a friend with an '02 FXDWGSE, and figured it would be a good thing to join in. I just picked up an '07 FXDSE on April 21, and I'm lovin' it. Just about to make it 4 digits on the odometer (hey, it's been raining a lot here in Texas.) This is my 4th H-D since '73, and definitely the best so far.
I am really amazed at how many people post on this board... y'all must hire people to clean your chrome.

Oh yeah... I'll take pics this afternoon, if it doesn't rain AGAIN.

A Great Big CVO Welcome to you.  You will love it here.

And re the someone hired to polish my chrome, right now, I'd pay for someone to detail both mine and my husband's bikes.  We got caught in a torrential rain storm three miles from the bike. Could see nothing but the yellow line on an extremely twisty two lane road.  Had to just keep the bike on the right side of the yellow line.  I put on my four way flasher and just kept limping along as the water found all those entrance places - collar - sleeves - boot tops - to pour water in on you. My seat has a definite cup shape to it, so it filled up quick too.  Now, the bikes are absolutely trashed.  I'd gladly pay someone to clean em up, but no - after coffee, at least a little spray and hose down is warranted before getting out again today to ride.

Welcome from Central Texas! Best folks to spend your money around. Notice I didn't say extra money because with the OCD problem we all have there is no such thing as extra money.
