I met this great person, Bobby (from San Antonio, TX) at the begining of the Posse Rally back in August 2004 in Colorado Springs, CO. We rode the most of the routes together with his friends across the 22 states. Also I saw him again for the Posse '05 and then again for the Posse '07. He has ridden 6 of 7 Posse's rallies. Believe or not he was last year 79 years old and he still rides. He has registered in HOG mileage program almost 600 thousand miles since 1987 when started being a member so counting since when he begun riding (teenager) there is more than a million of miles on his body...so in other words he is a hard ride biker 

I received today an e-mail from a mutual friend (David, next to me in the pic) which says:

Vintage Harley rider, Bobby Bacon, HOG Posse Rider, is having hip replacement surgery on April 14, at the Nix Hospital, 414 Navarro, San Antonio, Texas 78205......(210) 271-1800, and can use your prayers!
 
Bobby will never trailer, and never whine about the food, weather, schedule or directions..........!
 
He has laughed at rain, shouted at thunder, eaten the bugs, and slept in the dirt.........!
 
Is he a POSSE RIDER.............................................HELL YES..........!


PS ..he is the fourth from left to right. BTW his son, his grandson, his great-grandson rides Harleys...Four generations

Will definitely keep him in my thoughts and prayers. Let him know that there is much more comfort in riding, and more miles ahead for him after this surgery.

Jorge,  sure hope all is going well for your buddy.  I know a lot of those never complain about the food, the weather, the directions, the road, the schedule.  Folks, who just keep riding and riding, cause this is what is in our souls.

Jorge, I'll be praying for Bobby's speedy recovery. Tell him I had this friend that kept putting this surgery off and off until it became unbearable for him. When he finally did it he wanted to kick himself because of how much better he felt, and I know Bobby will too.
