I have to admit, essentially zero miles will absolutely present a premium for anyone that has some sort of an attachment to the particular model, but the fact is, the Screamin' Eagle Deuce is probably one of the least desirable CVO's they came out with. We all took a bath and most of them are going for only a few extra dollars over a bone stock standard Deuce.
Imho, you might stumble on someone who might give you $20K, and if you do, I'd take it and run. Most low mile '03 and '04's are actually selling for much lower than that.
Here's a couple of examples:
A '04 w/ 3,500 miles that only bid as high as $10,000 and never made reserve:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110332211745While you see plenty of listings in the $16K to $18K and above range that end without a bite, the reality is, I watch this pretty closely (to cry in my beer no doubt) but now most '03's go for under $14 to $16 max. '04's can pull a little more, but that's about it. Last year, the '04's mostly went around $16K to $18K.
The fact is, the economy has had an impact, but more so, the demise of the Deuce and the new CVO's have bigger engines and are all around nicer. The SED is pretty much the unwanted step-child of the CVO family.
I will say, you have a great Dad to have done something so nice. Why didn't you ever ride it? Dude, I would ride it and enjoy it!
