After trying many combinations of exhaust and PCV maps on my 09 CVO Fat Bob, I finally found something that ran great. I installed VH Double barrel pipes and had the bike dyno tuned twice. Now runs and sounds great. All was well until last Sunday when I was stopped at a police road check in a park here in BC. The cop claimed my pipes were too loud and he checked the db level with a meter. It read 104 db at 2500 rpm. The legal limit here is 80db. He then gave me a ticket for $109. I was not happy. They were checking all bikes coming through and gave out a ton of tickets. I was surprised at the reading as these pipes do not seem loud. So I am now looking to quiet them down. I have ordered some Big City Thunder quiet baffels and will try them. If they do not work I am going to have the Cat removed from the stock system and replace they baffels. Has anyone modified their stock pipes ? I hope this sound check is not a sign of things to come here in BC
