I know alot of you are going to think that I'm nuts, but I am switching out my stock bars for 16" ape hangars on 1 1/2" risers . On order with all the required parts to make the change right now. Hope to have install complete within next 2 weeks.

Oh yeah...also moving the turn signals to the forks.

Wish me luck...lol!!!

Welll I just found out that the front brake lines are one solid piece from the master cylinder on the handlebars all the way to the calipers... . Now I have to order a new front brake kit before I can make the mods.

Wish I would have known this before hand so I wasnt caught by surprise at the last minute....WTF Harley...what were you thinking???...lol

So for any of you that want to do a handle bar change on your FXSTDSE be aware of this obstacle.

Well here are the mods to include new handlebars and internal wiring, cables, custom front brake lines and relocated front turn signals. Fits me  like a glove now...Did a 350 mile ride last weekend and loved every minute of it with the new mods!!

I know this thread is from 2010  Must not of seen what you did    those apes are SWEET    I put on 17 inch carlini evil apes on my 05cvo FATBOY I love them also
