I thought today 06/06/06 was predicted to be the end of the world by some folks.  Armageddon or something like that.

What happened or is it yet to come?   Did I miss the invitation?

So, I take it when you were a youngster you participated in spelling bees and had this one thrown at you?

I recall reading somewhere that in actuality, ancient mythology recorded 999 as the mark of the Devil. The confusion on 666 coming from the text in which it first appears as being juxtaposed. Anyone have any info on this ?

Just like the guy walking around with the sign saying the World is going to end on 1/1/06.  Then it doesn't happen.  He just moves on to another town, and changes the date.  Crazy a$$ed people!  Reminds me of economists.  They've got all the answers, but have you ever seen a Rich one?  There endeth the lesson.  Later--HUBBARD

These folks seem to like to play with "the numbers":
http://www.threeworldwars.com/june06-2006.htm

Six Disturbing Triplications for 06/06/06

Apart from the obvious triplication of the date (6/6/6), which is commonly recognized as the Mark of the Beast, there are a number of other interesting patterns in the number of days elapsed between 6/6/6 and previous world events:

    * 222 days from the Muslim riots in Paris;
    * 333 days from the London Train Bombings;
    * 444 days from the second anniversary of the Iraq Invasion;
    * 555 days from November 28, 2004 (the 333rd day of the year, with  33 remaining);
    * 666 in the date pattern and the pattern until the end of the Mayan calendar;
    * 777 days from the foiled Sears Tower Attack.

Yeah... and by then we will have run out of gasoline, and all the new bikes will be peanut oil powered anyway... so no point going on in a world like that [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
