Time to hook that cop up to a truck and drag him around the county... What a dick.

Sickening. To serve and protect? All he had to do was get his plate number.      R.I.P.

I think we need to hear the rest of the story. Nobody is going to run from the police just because they were caught at 15mph over. Was he armed? Did the cop that "rammed" him know what he had done or just that he was running from another office? If the guy had just stopped, he would not have lost his life and ruined the life of a young officer.

Two wrongs and one of them is dead, the other might as well be. Not knowing all the facts it is too early to pass judgment. We as  motorcyclist are quick to blame the cage drivers. Sometimes the rider is the cause. Now don't get me wrong, I do think at this time the deputy over reacted and should face the consequences for his actions. Criminal not civil. IMHO!

I know several people (on the job). As many of us do in this forum, and many in this forum are law enforcement.
That being said.
They have told me people sometimes just (get scared).
We should how ever, not assume there isn't another side to this story, just like you shouldn't assume there is!

One things for sure, we all should take responsibility for what we do.
That means the guy running, and the officer who chose to RAM him not knowing if he was a felon or not.
The (young officer) made his own life choice when he chose to use  force to stop a guy on a bike.
Also, did you not check the article,  the officer had a controlled substance in his system!!

Just sayin.

There is a lot more then just mentioned in this post. Will be interesting to follow.

Here is the ruling mentioned:

Some more to read:
"Sykes v. United States, 131 S. Ct. 2267, 2274 (2011) (noting also that between 18% and 41% of all chases involve crashes, and that chase related crashes kill more than 100 nonsuspects every year)."

Spent time reading the case cited and Ohio's revisions to the CCW law this a.m. Of course one read isn't enough. My head hurts.  :stars:
