49mm Front End Springs
« on: June 27, 2012, 03:09:10 PM »

Are all the springs in the various 49mm front ends the same?
RaceTech slings best choice? I had progresive springs and gold valves but it was still mushy on the 39mm
Progressive will be making monotubes soon. Other are too expensive
What to do?

My RK has 41mm forks, so maybe this isn't an appropriate response, but I have RaceTech springs with Gold Valves and my forks cannot be categorized as anywhere near mushy. In fact, I'm going to be taking a bit of preload off this week and winding my Gold Valves back from 2 turns to 1 1/2. Pretty fair at highway speeds, but too harsh on things like expansion joints on bridges, etc.
