A couple quiet ones to keep the neighbors happy.

While there are some really nice pistols on these pages..........I think this thread has lost its way.

One of my black guns, this is a fun pistol to shoot!
Just just love mine, it is a blast to shoot.  I really like the extra 30 round mags I have for it also.  Ammo is getting hard as heck to find for it.  Glad I still have at least a 2 year supply 8)

yea...The term "Black Gun" refers to the black finish on the AR. Other modern military guns have that black finish, too, but the term refers to the AR and its variants, mainly because it was the first gun with such a finsih issued to a major military service. Thus you see books like The Black Rifle, about the AR's evolution and application. The popular press has hijacked the term to refer to any military style weapon with a black finish, but I don't believe that came from the shooting community. Rather it is another attempt to lump a bunch of guns into a general politically incorrect category.

Exactly, Pete. Don't get me wrong, I luv all guns...unless pointed at me. Not trying to stop someone from posting a pic, just funny to see the term take on new meanings. It is what it is.........or what it was.

I know it's not a "Black Gun" as Pete has shared the definition of but this is my everyday carry & it's also black so I guess it's a black gun. Kimber Super Carry Ultra HD Stainless Frame & Slide.

Only to keep shooting :huepfenlol2: Hi Ken

Used to reload a lot (pistol) as I was getting into the pistol sports. That stopped and so did the re-loading. Got rid of everything except for several thousand 230 FMJ's and empty shells.
Now I am starting to re-acquire all the goodies.

Was that due to N.J. laws or another reason?

top rifle is an LAR grizzly .223/5.56 and the bottom one a S&W M&P15X .223/5.56.
the rest aren't black guns so I can't talk about em. :nixweiss:

Back then if you were not competing, ammo was plentiful and inexpensive enough that it was hard to justify the time spent reloading.
