Kill it out back, cook it inside....can't get much fresher than that, Jesse.

Rode mine to work today after 6 straight days of rain.  Changed out my K&N back to the factory AF.  Took my lunch and rode over to K'ville HD West to visit my good friend at the parts counter.  Could not ask for a better day today weather wise.

Also sat on one of the new Limited low models.  Really liked everything about it EXCEPT the seat.  Felt like I was sitting in a hole and not very comfortable for the male parts.  Did like the new thinner/less wide primary cover....not too shabby and it's a retrofit back through '09.  That baby is slammed...shorter than my SESG (we measured).  Should be a great seller (if you change out that seat)

I loved the low as well. Hope they don't make a cvo limited low!

Why'd you drop the k and n?

I loved the low as well. Hope they don't make a cvo limited low!

Why'd you drop the k and n?

Last good AF cleaning was prior to heading to SC (two weeks ago).  Washed it out with the K&N cleaner, allowed it to dry, spot cleaned it a second time (again let it dry), oiled it (learned not to use much....a little goes a long way) and reinstalled.  Got back and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in two years.  I love the K&N filters (have them in all my cars) but with the way the filter element sits in the weather on our bikes, it really collects "stuff" easy and I refuse to use the rain sock all the time....just when it's raining.  I like wrenching on my bike just like the next guy but I'm tired of doing the filter shuffle so often.  Even if it's newly cleaned, it looks like crap (to me anyway) after just a short time.
Just one of those obsesive/compulsive deals with me I guess.  I know it's clean, just doesn't look it.  I get a good discount on the stock filter at the local dealer.  What I save on the K&N cleaner and oil can offset some of that cost.

A long answer to a short question.........

Put the rain sock on inside of the AC, not my original idea, it was posted some time ago. Yep, you have to put a hole in it, on the other hand, you don't have to worry about rain.  In that same post someone said "pantyhose" does the same thing, if you don't want to put a hole in your SE sock.

Oh by the way, rode out to Englewood Beach for lunch, blackened grouper, as good as walleye.

Sorry Jess, I should have taken a picture, the blackened grouper sandwich looked like a surfboard on top of a raft. Five guys, five groupers, five naps later.  Quite a day. ;D

Rode the bike to work and on the way back dropped by the dealership and fell in love with this:  :smitten: :smitten:

The dang bike is made out of glass. The paint job is unbelievable. Why, oh why didn't they use this scheme for the CVO RG????

Added a Jagg / Air assisted cooler, chrome top transmission cover, chrome Clutch release cover, and a Stage one filter (Erotox),
with the Skull face plate.  Then added a Covingtons points cover (Diamond cut) to match the cylinders.  Have now contacted  "Joe" from Extreme to come up with a good scheme for the horn cover...

Put about 100 miles on it in 50* temps. Next time we do that, we'll make sure we put our chaps on. Gonna take a few hours to thaw out the knees.

I rode 100 yesterday and 100 on Tuesday. Yesterday was a bit chilly temps in low to mid 50's. Had the chaps on  :2vrolijk_21:

Today was 67 and tomorrow says 68. Looks like a chance to get in some late riding before putting the ol girl to sleep!

Rode again today as well, I hope to get 4 or 5 more weeks of riding in before I change the oil, wash, wax and put her to bed for the winter.
