In a effort to solve to crappy seat dilemma, I picked up a stock seat from a 2015 Ultra Classic LOW that was removed at purchase and never used.. It did drop me down quite a bit I'm just hoping it doesn't move too far forward... Spring will tell.

That should throw them off

I tell 'em, It's a Harley!
And end the conversation with,
"You can buy better, but you won't pay more!!"
Then I walk away and leave them with that goofy look on their face.

My reply depends on the demographic...

Sometimes its "Harley"

Sometimes its Road Glide,

Sometimes its "Which one"?

Gotta remember who you're speaking to and what language they speak or understand...

Sometimes I say Harley, if the person asking doesn't know anything much about bikes.

If they know a little about bikes I say Bagger. Or Dresser. Or Touring bike.

If they do know bikes I say CVO Ultra or Screamin' Eagle Ultra, even though HD says it's a CVO Limited.

If they ride a Yamaha Roadstar (or similar) then I get to listen to how somebody just the other day complimented them on their Harley, because their Roadstar (or whatever) looks just like a Harley.  Then they wait for my response.  And wait.  And wait.  Then they say something like, well I woulda got a Harley, but my Roadstar/whatever was a lot less $$ than a Harley.

Been through most of the above situations and answers.  Had this one too.

To the airhead cashier girl who sees me in a helmet, with my bike at the #1 gas pump, right in front of her:
Her: Which pump?
Me: #1
Her: Do you ride a bike?
Me: Yes.
Her: What kind is it?
Me: (Point at "Harley Davidson" on my shirt)
Her: (blank look)

Be it the stealership or someone I happen to bump into I always say the same thing when they ask what I ride as it is an accurate description. I tell them "A chrome lawn mower"

Probably a stupid question but...I'm new to touring bikes as well as owning a H-D and probably look that way when I go into a dealer store.  When I'm at a dealer and they ask me what I ride as a general conversation topic it's a mouthful to say a 2010 FLHTCUSE5 or say a CVO Screamin’ Eagle Ultra Classic Electra Glide, so my question is; what does everyone say that doesn't sound like your an idiot or bragging?  Or am I destined to sound like a douche every time someone asks?

I was in a biker bar Sunday.  About 25 bikes parked outside.

I got asked which bike I was riding by some old bikers.

I said "The candy cherry ultra".

Reply:  "The 110. We were just admiring that bike."

If you say FLHTCUSE2 you'll lose very knowledgeable bikers that could take apart and reassemble the bike blindfolded.  LOL!

Anything past FLHT is ancillary.  Everything else is accessories.  ;)

Answer is easy.  The red one.
