progressive shocks

Not a cvo but i changed the rear rim from 16 to 18 on my 2004 roadking and now want to purchase new shocks.has anyone used the progressive 944 ultra touring shock? They say it lowers the bike 1 inch but still has same travel as the 13 inch shock, First is it good shock ,second do you think i will have clearance issues?
