Best of luck on getting it all sorted out with an end game you're happy with Howie.  I pray to the travel gods every time I think of it thanking them that the red bike has proved to be reliable. On our little run my only issue were puking out a bit of oil when we were 90-ish for an hour and a half and having to unplug that goofy little module that mixes tail lights, brakes lights and turn signals list night to get my running lights back.  That kind of road side repair I can live with....

What kind of "electrical issue" are they blaming an LCD panel that comes back to life when you thump it on?  That's an explanation I want to hear later  :huepfenlol2: .

That's right.  The only difference is you have to thump the LCD display while it was sitting still.  It's a real bitch to get that right side cover then reach down and wap a coiled up finger against the Power Commander while you're going down the road at HMsPh (Howie Miles Per Hour).

Hmmmm ... I just got home from a 3.150 km trip in four days, with a single day of 1.480 km (Naples, Italy to Frankfurt, Germany). The SERK performed flawless, not a single issue. Maybe its the rider?

maybe it is the rider, but then again if it took you 4 days to go 3.150 km (1.96 miles) you must have been pushing the bike. No wonder you didn't have any problems :nixweiss:

Maybe it is the rider! If this bike can't take it, it's history. Harley dropped rollers in the 50's! Now since '03 they went back to rollers. F them! Pressed flywheels, F them! .008" runout out of the box. F them! I've been doing this chit for years. I know exactly what's inferior with these motors. If you ride under 3 grand, maybe it'll stay together. Have fun babying this thing! I don't! Maybe it is the rider. I don't want a p*ssy bike! I want a bike you can RIDE. CVO my ass! If this bike can't take normal Hoist riding like all my other Harleys, it's history! There are other's out there that know exactly what I'm talking about! If you don't, maybe it's the rider! Enough BS and p*ssyfooting around their inferior design chit to fight off the aftermarket! F them! My bike will become bulletproof like it belongs, or it's history, no matter how much I love it. All of you that are happy babying your $35,000 bike, have fun your way. I have fun my way. Some of you understand exactly what I'm talking about. Some of you will never get it! Yeah, go ahead. Tell me it's the rider when you know WTF is going on! This post ain't F'ing around either! Hoist! 8)

Geez Howie, how do you really feel?

I agree with your comments 100%. These bikes like any other Harley should be able to be ridden hard. The problems that you and many many others have had are inexcusable and lets all hope this is limited to a first year run of a new motor.

Best of luck getting it all repaired the way it should be. 8)

Yeah man! As you can see, you have posted almost 100times more than I on this forum. Before you came the forum was about adding chrome here and changing the saddlebags there. Now this thing becomes a serious place for pedal pushers. Or do we just not listen to the silent majority trailering to events? In any case I do think 2k in three days of driving is pushing harder than 3k in a week. Or is my math wrong? I don't think so. AND: We did it with two identical SERK's, and both had no problems, and at highway speeds around 100 miles an hour, traffic permitting. I like the bike, I think it is well made. I ride, I get to my destination, no problems. Is it my fault?

Thanks Jim, I know you know where I'm coming from! Appreciate you're acknowledgement! It's time to stop dancing around HD treating us like their R&D department! Step up to the plate and give me my 30 grand's worth! Most people can live with it, cause they'll never really ride these bikes as intended. That's what HD is banking on. Some of us Old Timers know better. Enough of the BS! Some of us really do know exactly what's going on here! This one got my goat. I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!!!

And Louis, just because you haven't had issues, doesn't mean you won't. Every bike and motor is different and they seem to make more bad 110's than good. I guess you're just a super rider that can ride this motor hard and still have it run fine. ::) When that thing grenades itself on your next trip, let's see you brag about how you have no problems and nobody else knows how to ride! As for your chrome do-dads, your speaking to the wrong party here! If that's what you want to talk about, you're in the wrong thread! Don't go minimizing the problems many people are having with these 110's! When your time comes, I guess we'll never hear about it, huh? Not after bragging how great your bike is and nobody else knows how to ride them!!!

Hoist,

I think you need to accept that there are people who own more bikes, hide harder, longer and faster than you do. And if you do choose to not accept this, it is still a fact.

This forum is about sharing information and solutions. Most of your posts are purely egocentric and now you start ranting and using "f*ck" and "sh*t" type of words. In my opinion this is not your personal anger management class, and I am lead to believe that a great many users share that opinion with me. It is entertaining for a while, but it gets boring rather quickly. I suggest you return to the facts, and let us know some solutions once you are ready to share them.

I am out of this thread for good now, since I do know you will never give up posting just another reply.
