Anyone using a Tomtom GPS unit? Anyone heard anything about them...will they work on a bike....are they weather proof?

Did a search of the site with no hits.

I will read up on the web...just looking for personal experiences or
feedback,

Thanks in advance,

Passed Gas, what you're probably looking for is the TomTom Rider for motorcyles.  Not available yet as far I've seen.  A couple of buddies have asked about them also.  Here's a Crutchfield link showing the product and descriptoin:

You can do the fanciest new Garmin 2730 and get a lot more capability for the same money.

I know this is off topic, but I get excited when I see mention of something in my hometown. Twolane next time you run down there to pick something up at the Crutchfield store let me know I'll buy you lunch and your favorite beverage. I know of a great burger joint not to far from there and they have really cold beer.  [smiley=drink.gif] To top that off it's biker friendly, the owner rides a Ducati.  ;D

Thanks D00d, really appreciate the invitation.  Normally I'm a heluva long road trip away.  But used to live and work in DC and still do my best to make it back a couple of times a year to see friends, friends kids, etc etc etc.  Next time I'm there maybe we'll be able to round up Dawg and the WeWe's and anyone else close by and make an evening of it one night.
