3rd party ABS flushing gear
« on: January 06, 2020, 06:32:46 AM »

It's for cycling the abs system in the bikes. Guys on the Road Glide forum have been talking about this with good results. One word of advice so far has been to keep the tablet plugged in as it takes some time to do a complete flush with this.

Under $200 for the whole kit may just pay for itself after the first use.

They show the 2012 and up are the new CAN-bus. Somebody is going to end up with the wrong product.

Least expensive model only manages 1 bike.

I believe so, or an account is setup per device.

Thanks for the info, I ordered one, will post an update on how it works out.

They have models that will control as many bikes you want for $$$.

More convenient for me to bleed the brakes than taking it to the dealer.

Dealer did the flush 2 years ago and the fluid tested greater than 4% per dealer and the following device.

Cheers!

I bought this unit last year and can confirm that it works perfectly.  Watch the how-to video before starting and then just follow the onscreen prompts.  If you have bled brakes before, it will be very simple for you.  The company owner who also created the software, responds quickly to any question you may have.

Is it locked to only servicing one bike?

Good to hear someone on here has also used one with positive results.

I have a Daytona TwinScan4 which bleeds ABS, programs fobs, calibrates speedo, and some other things I haven't used.

For those who do other work on their bikes besides flushing and bleeding the brakes, the Twin Tec scanner might be a better option than the single function app.  You can buy the CAN bus version of the Twin Tech for $400 or less these days, versus $200 or a little less for the app, and as mjb765 said the scanner will do a lot more than just assist with flushing and bleeding ABS systems.  Anyone interested take a look at this listing on ebay for $400, there are other sellers of course so do a search, there may be better prices out there.

The original one listed also comes with a little tablet, it isn't just an app. Not sure if you read that far into it.

Agreed the Daytona unit is more of an all around unit but for people that only want something to bleed brakes in their own bike, the the original eq posted is a better buy.
