Hi you all. I took delivery last week of a silver SERG. I saw the display in Milwaukee, but once I saw the silver at the dealership, I was hooked. So far, I love it, but I have had mixed success with previous CVO's. I wish I had know about this site sooner - the documentation and sharing is awesome.
My first CVO was a 103 SE Road King. I added true duals and a Power Commander, but never got it running right in spite of several dyno runs. I gave up after year and 15,000 miles with intermittent missing. The dealership tried hard, even split the cases and rebuilt the engine. Each fix would run fine for a while then the miss would return, even with a different Power Commander.
I bought another SE Road King in 2007. After the head gasket issue, the performance was OK with a Thunder Max and wide band O2 sensors. I was considering other upgrades, but I decided I really wanted ABS brakes, so here we go again.
I am going to remain stock for now and keep reading here. Hopefully the after market will come through again. I'm fortunate to also have a Springer and a Buell in the garage - plus a very understanding wife who has already put more miles on the SERG than I have.
