That was an interesting article.  Thanks for the link MFG! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  I've been seeing prices drop around Calif. too and this is an area that rides year round (should coralate into higher value, you'd think).

The pricing structure is fair to the dealers....it has been the over ands above MSRP that makes the intrinsic value and true value of the bikes questionable.

Noticed the same thing when I was in Southern CA over the weekend.  Marina Del Ray Harley used to put a 3 to 4k kicker on the CVO's.  Now they all seem to be at MSRP.  Maybe the "toy" money is starting to dry up a little.

Manchester, NH Harley, the second highest priced dealer in the state, obnoxious and all full of themselves, the dealer that was almost 3K over MSRP when I was getting quotes on bikes ( I told them I was already at MSRP)............just sent me a flyer........the next couple of weekends only.........selling what looks like whatever they have in stock at MSRP! Supply and demand....it's happening guys! So now the dealers that have already been at MSRP should drop below MSRP. We'll see.

For the past three months, my owner has been selling his at MSRP at both locations.  First time ever!  Like others, he was attempting to sell at 3k over MSRP.

Here in Canada, prices have come down as much as $2500, primarily because of the increase in the value of the Canadian dollar. Our local dealer who has always sold at MSRP is offering a special right now for anyone buying an instock new fuel injected bike and paying in full they will put in a 95" kit free of charge. Good for people buying new bikes but playing hell with the used prices.

A wave may have "crested" and it may seem to play havoc with what have been the slightly unrealistic used/resale values we've rather gotten accustomed to.
