Who had two months?
900 miles into ownership, and down he went today.
Coming off Storrow Drive in Boston near Fenway Park. Hit some sand and had to upright. Unfortunately moving a little too quick for the angle of the off-ramp....
Hello guard rail.
Damage assessment:
Me - Got up pretty quick. Ribs a little sore. No skin on the left knee, bruised left arm, and a little pride stinging.
Bike - Needs new left directional. New left mirror. Complete outer primary casing, maybe a shift lever, and probably a new tank. It's got two dings in it, and some paint rash. With it being the MoCo specific paint job for the FXR3, I bet I pay out the hole in my left knee.
Whoo hoo...Spring's here!!!!

Sorry to hear about the accident but happy that you wern't hurt any worse. The bike will probably mend quicker than your knee will but I wish you good luck with it and God speed.

Neanderpaul, I am so sorry to hear about your accident. Even though I know you are very upset your baby is a bit bruised and scuffed right now, every last part of her can be replaced. You on the other hand do not heal quite the same. Please take care and God Speed on your recovery!

In times like these, we should always count our blessings...for the most part, bikes can be repaired...bodies can not always...
I hear your pain....
Keep up the great PMA...(Positive Mental Attitude)

neanderpaul,
I am sure you have seen the t-shirt or you know the old expression:
"IF you don't limp, you ain't $hit.
Welcome to my world.

I've got some limp. But, it's the ribs hat hurt the most this morning.
I'm fairly sure nothing's broken. I can breathe ok...slept better than I thought I would. But, it does hurt to exert force when moving stuff, and a sneeze is pretty painful.
No visible bruising there...prolly bruised the lung a little or something.
My buddie freaked when he saw me up and riding off the ramp. He just bought his first bike this year...seemed spooked when I told him he'd go down someday too.

i guess that explains the MIA comments yesterday, glad to hear your still in one peice. like everyone already said eaiser to fix up the ride then fix up the rider

Okay neanderpaul?
Watch your scrapes for infection. You probably bruised many ribs and fractured one or two. Not broke through just cracked. The bruising may not be evident for several days. I guess, speaking from experience that conservatism is difficult at times when riding.
